me and my companion!! we are cute we know!
here's a funny story, I ordered a mission backpack because with the bag
I can only hold so much you know...the day my backpack comes we find out that
they (the church) has now made a rule that we aren't allowed to wear
backpacks...so I wore it one day...cool story I know! oh and we have cool
scripture cases now too!
Me and Hermana BILLS were companions again!! For one day ha but we had
so much fun and she's so great! We were contacting and we run into this man and
we introduce ourselves and he's all like oh I'm a member, and we were like
"oh really! what ward are you in?" and he was like "I don't know
I don't go to church anymore" and Hermana Bills just pulls out her
scriptures and has him read a verse that's about going to church and she was
like "you need to go to church! why were you baptized?" and he was
like "because I believed" and she was like "then go to
church!" and I was like OH DANG! but she was great and we had fun and we
contacted 22 people in one day! and thats alot for 2 girls who don't speak that
much spanish haha
haha I just thought you'd enjoy this picture #youarewelcomeworld
ha
we did a service project this week and the paint here is weird! it
comes out of this bag..and it looks like ice cream and then you add water and
you have to mix it till its smooth it was fun!
Hey! We have a
PDAY and we get to go out of our zone today so we are doing something super
cool…don’t really know what but yeah!! I hope everything is going well back home!
And I hope you guys are enjoying your summer!
Everything is good here! That
girl that I told you about last week Carolina, she has a date for baptism! She
is getting baptized at the end of the month and we are really excited for her!
She is just excited about the gospel and it's great! So we are really excited
for that!
Also we were walking in the street this week
with the Elders and a lady came up to us and she was speaking English and
apparently she is a member and is visiting her family and she’s from
Connecticut. She invited us over for lunch and that was fun because she and all her kids
speak English so we were able to talk to them for a little bit and while we
were there I experienced trembler #2!! It was a big one and when they happen you
are supposed to run outside so that the building doesn’t collapse on you, I
didn’t know that but the mom was freaking out like “kids we need to get out, we
need to get out of the house!” and then it stopped and her daughter (who is 12)
was like “mom I don’t know why you were freaking out, we have servants of God
with us we are fine!” it was funny!
Also I don’t know if you guys know this but I
hit 3 months on this mission the other day! WAHOO ha only 15 left! I really
feel like I’ve been here forever! Besides the fact I don’t speak Spanish ha but
Spanish is actually coming…slowly but surely I can pretty much understand it
all…if I’m focusing really hard but so that’s nice and now I just need to be
able to speak! But it’s coming. I’m loving the mission! Sometimes it’s hard and
I just want to be home but honestly I am so glad I’m here. I’m learning so much
about the Gospel and I’m able to see the Lords hand in my life everyday! It’s
been great! And I hope all of you are doing good! And are being safe! I love
you all and think about you all the time!! Hope you have a good week!!
