HAPPY NEW YEAR!! I hope you guys had a good new year! Ours was pretty good, we went to bed at 10 30 and then we woke up at 11 50 so that we could get all ready for the new year! here everything is yellow for new years, because yellow means luck? i don't know but I liked it so we decided we would buy inca cola and drink it at midnight because its yellow! and then Hna Gloria (the member we live with who is also our pension) gave us grapes because here you have 12 wishes for the new year and then at midnight you eat our 12 grapes so your wishes come true! (fyi the grapes were very sour so I picked 5 of my 12 wishes because there was no way I was going to eat 12 of those things ha #wimp) But was good! And then we found 2014 painted on a wall so we were like "ok obviously a picture has to happen here"

and so a picture happened.

But it was good but this week has been rough because everyone is still coming back from all their vactions for the holidays so we are really working hard on getting some things happenin down here, but we found a list of less actives and someone on there was named Franklin (the name I want to give my first born) and so I as like "LETS GO THERE!!" and then I got nervous because I was like crap what happens if this guys ruins my name Franklin but everything was SO GREAT! we went and we were teaching them about Jose Smith and I asked him if he remembered the the story and so Franklin goes on to tell us perfectly the story including quoting James 1:5 word for word and the first vision word for word! I was like OH WOW i was so proud of him! It was a great lesson and we had some really great members with us! It was good after a hard week! But we are doing good! and we are keepin on keepin on!

We are starting this new year off right! and I hope you guys are too!!

ALSO guess what!

it rains here in Huaraz!! and by rain I mean we had a flash flood the other day! it was awesome! let me tell you I love the rain but its kind of  rough walking around with your feet covered in water and being soaked literally but....when you knock on peoples doors when it is pouring outside they let you in! and it's awesome and made me love the rain that much more! ha
