{January 20, 2014}

HELLO 

this week was good! 

we had a work visit with Hna Mendoza (who is companions with Hna Brown so i got to see her for a minute which was good!) and Hna mendoza is so sweet! and she is so great and was so funny and it was a good day! 

and then we did a service this week in the area of the Elders and we had to take like a 10 minute hike to get to their investigators house! and when I say hike I mean like HIKE it was steep and I haven´t been hiking for forever so it was a lil rough ha 

but it was really beautiful! 

and then here are two pictures of my beautiful Huaraz

this is my favorite street we found it 2 weeks ago and its super hidden and little and I LOVE IT and it brings me so much happiness and I love this plant. 

and then they have this statue here in Huaraz. Awhile ago there was a huge storm, I don´t remember what year but it was a huge storm that destroyed everything and so after they built this statue for a memorial and it´s really pretty (minus the fact that it´s naked people.) 

but this week has been ok. We are still working in the area trying to get everything worked out, Soledad didn´t come to church and we tried to find her but she wasn´t in her house so we are hoping its because her daughter was having her baby. and then Kathy couldn´t come because it was her Grandmas birthday....and so we were really bugged but we are hoping everything is ok and we can get them going and get them baptized by the end of this month! 

we found an old investigator...and he is a little bit crazy, Hna Macleod was explaining how we need to read the Book of Mormon from the beginning so we usually explain that it´s like all other books that you read and so she says ¨like Harry Potter, I love Harry Potter but you need to read it from the beginning¨ and he just looks at her and says ¨you do know that Harry Potter is satanic right?¨and I´m like whhhhhatt?? Homeboy is a little interesting to say the least but we are working with him ha 

but so this week will be better!!

Also, I was thinking about sharing a scripture with you guys and so I closed my eyes and opened my Book of Mormon and I found this Ether 15:22...interpret that how you will...ha 

{And when the night came they were ^adrunken with anger, even as a man who is drunken with wine; and they slept again upon their swords.}

Not sure what we're supposed to gather from this one, but she did just flip to a scripture and called it good! ;)
