HELLO MY FAMILY
How are you?
I'm good.
It's been another good week, not like
awesome, but it's been good!
I do not understand the function of this
door, but I did knock on it...and no one answered.
I really feel like Huaraz looks like
Utah sometimes...or I just forget what Utah looks like. ha
this week has been like I said good. We
have a baptism planned for this Saturday! her name is Kathy and she is so
cute! she is 18 years old and she just makes me laugh and she is just so
ready!! and so we are really excited for that, and we have another investigator
named Rosario and she is really great as well! she is going to get baptized at
the end of February because she wants to wait for her boyfriend....so we'll see
but she is going to get baptized!
other then that everything is basically
the same, I'm loving it still it's hard sometimes but that just comes with
life.
I had interesting experience because we
were teaching Franklin and Astrid (a MA family that we have) and she was
talking about how when the end of the week comes she doesn't want to come to
church because she's tired from working all week and she just feels like her
burden is really heavy with all the stuff of life...so I just start explaining
that, she should not look at church as a chore, that we go to church because we
have been blessed, and I start explaining how God wants to take our burdens how
if we have the faith and we do all that we can he will lighten our burdens, and
it probably won't be all at once but I told her the harder we work and the more
faith we have a lighter our burdens will feel, and in teaching her I taught
myself. It had been a rough week and everyone that we were talking to was
really rude or all our appointments were falling through and I was just like
WHY?!? but I just need to have more faith and work harder, I know there are
people out here and I need to work a little harder and have a little bit more
faith to find them, the Lord will lighten our burdens. and I just know thats
the truth, so I know you guys aren't just having perfect lives over there so I
encourage you to remember that. The Lord is always there, just try a little harder
and have a little more faith, and I told Astrid we may never have a day in life
to actually do nothing, but if we work hard and put the important things first
we will rest one day with God.
always remember What is more
important?
I love you all and I don't mean to be on
a soap box...just sharing what I learned :)
I hope you all have a great
week!!!
love Hna Winters
