last week when we were playing soccer Elder Roco had this jersey!! And I was so excited!! I miss my name sometimes.
this is in another language that I cannot spell, but it’s spoken here in some parts in Peru and the mother of Hna Burgos speaks it and is not a member so she is going to give her this Book of Mormone when she gets home.
some weird fruit or flower or something…I don’t know what it is but I liked it!
This week has been good! We started teaching a new lady named
Rosa, so we met with her and before we were just saying that we really
wanted her to do most of the talking this lesson and just figure out what we
could do to help. So we went and met with her and we just asked her how she
feels about her relationship with Dios and she said it's not the greatest
because she feels like in the hardest times in her life He isn't there. So we
really just listened to her and let her express how she felt and realized that
all she needs is us to show Gods love for her and so we are really going to
focus on that and how this gospel can bless her and help her recognize just how
much God really does love her. Everyone struggles sometimes wondering if God is
really there but it was just a reminder that if we focus on the bad things that
happen it's easy to get discouraged, I mean we as missionaries get discouraged
all the time but that's just life, we need to realize in those moments of
discouragement to focus on the things that we do have and the blessings we have
recived because the blessings or the good moments we have had always trump the
bad or discouraging moments.
We had a talent show this week on saturday! and
it was so good! it was a lot of fun! and really funny 2 elders from our zone
did a rap which was really funny and there was a little girl with downsyndrome
that danced and I loved it because it reminded me of Lauren! Also this week the
weather has been funny some days its really hot and others it gets a little
cold and my companion is so weirded out by it and shes just like one day it's
warm and one day it's cold I don't get it! and in my head I just think...It's
just like Utah ha
The Familia Santa Cruz that we started teaching
a while back is still doing good..we are a little frustrated because the wife
is kind of slower because we can see that Walter (the husband) and Sol (the
daughter) are excited by the gospel but Walter really wants to do this as a
family and thats what we want to but its just going to take more time is all so
we have to be patcient...which is hard and I don't like it.
Also we started teaching this man named Edgar a couple weeks ago and
he suffers from schizophrenia, but he is taking pills and remembering
everything we teach him but we need to wait a little longer and observe his
behavior before we can baptize him, but he came to church this past week, and
like I said he has a little problem and this week in church we were learning
the law of chastity...so he said some interesting things that we are going to
have to talk about with him later this week but it's just always an
adventure.
I hope you guys have fun moving this week!! and
send me a lot of pictures of the new house!! I'm so excited for you
guys!!
I love you all thanks for everything!!
Love Morgan
