Hello!!
Guys this week was so great, mostly for
conference but either way,
Last monday we hiked a mountain! it was
really pretty! and we saw basically all of Huaraz!
we had to go down to Lima is this week
(i forgot to say that last week) because Hna Solis had to go to immigrations so
we left Tuesday night (with the Elders who had to go to immigrations too Elder
Huarasaya and Elder Jimmenez)
and I worked for the day in Lima with
Hna Lind, she is really cute and I swear she is almost the same person as Hna
Skousen! so it was fun, so I was working in her area Ventenilla and it was SO
HOT! and it was funny because I came from up here with mountains and hills and
there....there are hills....of dirt ha
but it was a good day!
and then we got back from Lima and our
week was normal, nothing too special but I'm serious we were so excited for
Conference! it was so great! I loved it!!
we noticed that they were talking a lot
about Families the importance of them and Family History and alot about
preparing such as reading the scriptures and all that jazz, I loved it I really
felt the spirit.
I loved Elder Hollands talk about the
missionary that got food thrown at her, nothing like that has happened but we
as misisonaries just laughed about life and how sometimes crap does happen and
people are rude but we push on ha and I loved a member of the seventy I don't
remember his name but he recited the first vision in his talk and it was so
good! I loved it I felt the spirit so strong! I loved all of them really and
Elder Scott Elder Ballard and then Elder Chirstoffersons was an awesome way to
finish the conference! then Saturday night a man came up to us and told us that
he brought his nephew to meet us, it was during the preisthood session and he
asked us to come to the church to meet his nephew, we were talking about how it
was more important for him to listen to the apostles and that we would just go
and get another appointment with him, and while we were walking over to the
church we were planning what we were going to say and Hna Solis was like
"we are not going to lose time we are going to figure out his
desires" so we went we met him and he seemed really nice, we explained
that we didnt want to take him away from the conference because it's important
so Hna Solis hands him a folleto of L1 and says will you read this and pray to
know if it's true? and he says yes, so she pulls out a Book of Mormon and says
will you read the first chapter of this book and pray to know if it's true? he
says yes, so she says and when you recieve an answer and know these things are
true usted esta dispuesto a ser bautizado, he says yes, I believe that is true
I've just wanted to meet with the missionaries to ask a couple questions that I
have....so I'm dying i'm like FINALLY our miracle....so I say well we can help
with that, where do you live....he says Lima. i died. so we sent a really ready
reference to Lima. sometimes God is funny, if you can call that funny ha.
I know I will get a miracle and I was so
thankful for conference I had my question answered a lot of times! and I'm so
thankful for the living Prophets we have today and I'm so thankful for this
Gospel! I know that it is true with all of my heart, I'm so thankful for this
time that I have to share it! not everyone listens but those who do I know
their lives are better for it, I have thought so much about how I am going to
be different, how I am going to be a better person! it helped so much!
I love you all and I'm so thankful for
the family that I have! they talked a lot about families and I was so happy to
know you guys are my family FOREVER!!
I miss you all but I will see you
soon!
have a good week!
love Hermana Winters
